Although there are excellent vocational schools all over the country, The United States lags behind many other countries  vocational education  terms, namely Germany, Japan, Switzerland and a few other countries. There was a study conducted that resulted in the National Apprenticeship Act, also called the Fitzgerald Act, which sought to improve the standards of vocational school education and apprenticeship in the United States. The final effects of this law remain to be seen as it will take some time to see how the generations trained are affected by any law concerning education.
