Being in the building industry since he first started working, my husband has pretty decent experience in most parts of the job. He really works in concrete, but he spent his first ten years doing a lot of framing and other types of work. He’s put on a bit of siding, done rock and block work and even spent time doing a bit of asphalt roof shingles. Because we have family members who are all still in most of the trades, he probably won’t do all the work himself on our home, but it’s nice to know that he can pitch in and save a bit with sweat equity.
