I took a psychology of sleep course in college and learned something interesting about the way light reacts with your physiology in terms of your body cycle for sleep. If you see a bright light in the morning, your body automatically resets some systems and begins the waking process. If you install room darkening blinds in your window then you can successfully delay the waking process, as would be expected. But the other purpose of picking up some cheap faux wood blinds for this purpose is that if you live on a well lit or busy street, your body won’t be tricked into starting these processes in the middle of the night, which could cause extended effects to your behavior throughout the day and significantly impact your life.
