The patient can be responsible for the home health care services provided to them. If that is not possible there are other options available to them.
Medicare is for those over 65 and is an example of public sources available which will pay for home health care. Medicare pays out more than any other sole source. However, certain restrictions do apply for qualification. The patient has to be under a doctor’s care and in need of skilled medical services. The recipient of the Medicare pay out (the care provider) must be certified by Medicare. There are other requirements which apply.
