It’s a horrible feeling knowing that your car is going to be repossessed, but not knowing when and where. It is even a worse feeling not knowing that your car is going to be repossessed and is it anyways. Many people are surprised to find out that they can come get your car even if you miss just one payment. Typically, your lender won’t do a car repossession after missing just one payment, but in many states it is their right. If you are going to get behind on your payments, it’s a good idea to give your lender a call and let them know. It may just buy you some extra time and you can find out what your lender’s policies are before they take your car in the middle of the night. Believe me, that could save you a lot of embarassment.
