We live in a global village, where thankfully for the native English speakers, most presentations are held in English. This is all very well, but in many cases the presenter may not be a native English speaker, and hard to understand. Even though the bulk of the audience may also share the same language as the speaker, etiquette dictates that the meeting/presentation will be conducted solely in English. This can be a very frustrating experience for all concerned. However in this digital age it is possible to receive simultaneous translations in any language unobtrusively. There are also companies that offer the possibility of recording the entire presentation, transcribing it and translating it to any language requested. The world is truly getting smaller and smarter.
