My friend, Bernie, sells Employee Recognition Gift Ideas. She has a contract with quite a few of the local businesses to purchase gifts to recognize their employees. Not only does the employee benefit, but employee turnover is lessened because of this recognition. Review how often you actually give your employee perks or just a thank you for a job well done. Over 65% of employees surveyed felt that they were not even recognized one time during the last year. Not only that, but 79% of employees leave their jobs partially because of no recognition. For the low cost of a recognition program such as the Kudos Employee Recognition Program, you could save yourself a lot of hiring and training costs!

When a doctors office sets an appointment for a patient for a procedure that needs to be verified with the insurance company in order to make sure that they are going to pay for it, this could take the staff hours to complete but when using the medical billing software program, the information is already verified with the service compared to the insurance package that the patient has. This alleviates the billing specialist or the receptionist spending hours on the phone with the insureance company to get eligibility requirements from them because that is a very long process even after you finally get a hold of a person.

Being a project manager requires continuing education. The advancement of technology grows at a increasingly steady rate. The resources available are numerous and if you don’t have the education or understanding to utilize them, someone else will. To keep competitive in the enterprise game, a company should require it’s project managers and any other related professional within their company to participate in project management courses. What they were taught in their last certification is most definitely different then what will be taught today. The leading edge is based on education and experience. I really need to learn more about The Basics of Process Mapping.
My boss is convinced that process mapping and business mapping can help improve our efficiency.
So I’ve been reading up on Process Mapping Flow Chart online. There’s a lot of good info out there, but it’s tough to know where to focus.
I learned about flow charts in computer class, so process maps haven’t been too tough to pick up, at least.
Maybe your comments will help settle it.

Great job on your blog. I really like the layout, and your information is very thorough. I just now came across a blog which deal with organizational behaviour basics, also cover different aspects like Human Decision Process, History Of Organizational Behaviour Studies, Leadership etc. The best way to understand is to go through the system yourself.

I’ve been bugging management lately about six sigma programs. I think our company would benefit greatly from 6 sigma online - we’ve suffered from serious efficiency issues lately.
I’ve settled on Six Sigma Methodology, I think, as the best route for use to get our axct together. It’s expensive, but hopefully the savings it generates will be worth it.
I know that six sigma programs has been a big success for many in our industry. Looks to be worth a try.
Ok - that’s it for today.

Hello. Up to my knowledge, some project certification like MCSD will last forever, but some others like MCPD will be expiring after a few years. Can you please point me to a list on the web with all MS certificates and their respective validity periods? Please also let me know the exam number.

What with growing energy costs and other expenses, I’ve been looking into Lean Manufacturing Training to see if we can improve our efficiency.
From what I can tell, Implementing Lean Manufacturing would be of such great benefit for us that it would be worth the difficult changes we’d have to make.
Greater efficiency is always the best way to improve the bottom line, in my mind, because it can all happen inside the company. It doesn’t depend on anyone but ourselves.
Ok - that’s it for today.

The rapidly expanding green movement is effecting many part of our society like never before and investing philosophies are no exception. What many people are now talking about is the amount of sustainable wealth a person possesses as a measure of well-being. This of course will influence the choices that an Sandell Asset Managementcompany will make. For many, Sustainable wealth is defined as meeting the individual's personal, social and environmental needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. This definition comes from the marriage of sustainability as defined by the Brundtland Commission and wealth defined as a measure of well-being, not only from marriage but it also can be earned by working hard.
