Oxygen is added to the fuel by blending it with alcohol - either petroleum-based methanol or corn-based ethanol. Hence, enhancing hypermiling terms and techniques. Reformulated fuel is required in nine metropolitan areas that persistently violate standards for ground-level ozone, or smog: Baltimore, Chicago, Hartford, Houston, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Philadelphia, and San Diego. Dozens of other areas that exceed ozone standards also joined the program, including the entire states of New Jersey and Delaware. Thirty-three of 67 Pennsylvania counties also will require the new fuel.

And when they reach a fleet of 100 or more trucks, they need to have a vehicle management system in place in order to keep the trucks on the road. Tractor-trailer trucks usually ever stop their engines so those engines need to be taken care of. Maintenance needs to be performed on a regular basis and if you are watching over 100 or more trucks, you need to have some help making sure that each individual truck gets the maintenance that it needs when it needs it so it doesn’t break down.

After a long conversation I was able to satisfy him that Ethanol Mileage was more than the gasoline mileage and not only this if we compare the price of ethanol with its other counterparts we will find that it was more cost effective. By explaining him the eco friendly nature of ethanol, I pushed him to use ethanol as an alternative to fuel and he is happy with the performance of his vehicle and overall with the saving which he is able to make in his fuel bills.
