My son has decided that he is not going to go to college. Instead, he is going the trade route, taking tech prep classes. His ultimate goal is to take a Welding Inspector Course for certification. I am very proud. I was just reading the other day about how many disillusioned kids with college degrees cannot get work in their chosen field. A large percentage actually go to trade professions later, only with mountains of student loan debt. My son will circumvent all of that frustration, and get started in his profession right away. Trade professions are always in demand, so my son will be guaranteed to find work.
