The Project Management Institute (PMI) has been leading the way for the education of Project Management Professionals since 1969. Pmi pmp certification is well-regarded among businesses that hire and rely on project managers to guide their critical projects. There are qualification standards required in order to sit for the certification exam. Individuals must have a high school diploma, five years of project management experience and 35 hours of project management education. Alternatively, individuals can have a college degree, three years of project management experience and 35 hours of project management education. Further development units are required to maintain the certification.
