I had always wanted to for my own company but I always thought the process would be very complicated and would cost me a lot of money. It was only after talking with a business associate that I realized that forming an LLC is actually not such a complicated process at all, and is actually fairly cheap, especially when you consider that being the director of an LLC gives you limited liability, and protection of your assets. The complexity of forming a limited liability company will vary depending on which US state you live, but I formed my Virginia LLC without too much problem at all, and the company formation agent that helped me with the incorporation was extremely reasonable in its pricing. If you are thinking of forming a limited liability company, don’t let the apparent complexity put you off. You may find that it is much easier to form an LLC than you ever thought.
