Effectiveness of a Malpractice Claim
There is a list being passed around the emails and elsewhere that contains "Ten Things You Don’t Want to Hear Your Doctor Say during Surgery". Start using a malpractice lawyer. As well as things like "Don’t chuck that out; we’ll need it for the autopsy," "Anyone seen one of these before?" and "Bring that back, Rover. Bad dog!" one of the statements was "Has anyone seen where my Rolex went?"
And it’s not just in the funnies that things get left inside patients. In one recent malpractice claim, a surgeon did indeed leave a sponge inside a patient. Causes a snigger if you read about it, but it’s certainly not funny if it happens to you.
