We are often told and led to believe that if you don’t learn an instrument as a child, you never will. But nothing could be further from the truth. Music doesn’t discriminate on the basis of age. While you might be a little late to the rock scene if you don’t pick up an electric guitar before age 80, you can still pick up and learn to play the electric guitar. So, if you feel the pull, don’t let anyone tell you you are past your prime. There is plenty of help available to you: lessons, books on piano, clarinet music books, drum instructional CDs, videos for saxophone. All of this is readily available and at your disposal.
