Though now more than three decades old, tunes from the Bruton Music Library continue to be downloaded and sampled into hip hop and electronic music today. The company was founded by Robin Phillips after he left ATV in 1997. The label, which at one time was owned by Michael Jackson, is best known for music that is described as the kind often associated with televised policed dramas. The label is also known for producing music used in jingles, both for television and radio. Like the other Bruton music, these short jingles continue to be the popular targets of downloads to this day.
